Adopt-a-Chaplain Founder Visits Fort Hood
"One of the most rewarding times in the life of Adopt-a-Chaplain is when you have the opportunity to meet a chaplain that we have adopted," said Ben Ferguson. Then this must have been five-times as rewarding. Ben had the opportunity to meet with 5 of the chaplains that were deployed and adopted.
"You develop a real relationship with these heros through e-mail, you really understand what they are going through and how they love God and Country," said Ferguson. "Meeting them face-to-face for the first time, is like meeting and old friend." After spending the day with the group, Ben received an American Flag from Ch John Quinn, the flying Padre. "We will display this Flag with honor and pride in our shipping area," said Ben.
